I’m on a mission to create overnight oats recipes that you actually look forward to eating and maybe even get a little obsessed with! These mango overnight oats with passion fruit definitely have that kind of energy. They’re naturally sweet, super creamy from the blended mango, and the passion fruit adds just the right amount of tartness to keep things fresh and balanced.

If you know me, you know overnight oats are my thing. They’re a huge part of my weekly meal prep routine (I make them every week during spring and summer!), so naturally, I had to give them a tropical twist.
Key ingredients and substitutions

- Mango: This recipe is only as good as your mango. Look for one that’s really ripe, soft to the touch, and bright orange on the inside. If you don’t live in a tropical climate, it’s 100% worth splurging on an imported mango when you can.
- Oats: I love using a mix of old-fashioned rolled oats for texture and quick-cooking oats for that soft, creamy finish. It gives the best consistency, in my opinion. Use gluten-free certified oats if needed.
- Chia seeds: You don't need much but they help thicken the oats. Flax seeds are a great substitution if you don't have chia seeds.

- Don’t blend the passion fruit seeds. Strain them out before adding the juice to your mix for a smooth, non-gritty texture.
- Make sure to stir everything thoroughly so no oats or chia seeds are stuck at the bottom of the jar.
- Use your favorite overnight oats jars. Mine are the 370 ml Weck jars. They’re cute, leak-proof, and the perfect size. You can find more container recs in my meal prep glass containers guide.
Step-by-step instructions

- Combine the dry ingredients. Add the rolled oats, quick-cooking oats (if using), chia seeds, and a pinch of salt to your jars.

- Blend the mango with the milk of choice, the strained passion fruit juice, a little lime juice, and vanilla extract.

- Divide the blended mango mixture between the jars. Stir well to combine.

- Refrigerate. Seal the jars with lids and place them in the fridge to set overnight.

The recipe

Ingredients
For the blended mango mixture (makes 4 servings)
- 2 cups (240 ml) plant-based milk I use unsweetened soy milk
- 1 really ripe mango
- 2 large passion fruits
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ½ lime
Per serving
- ¼ cup (25 g) rolled oats
- ¼ cups (25 g) quick-cooking oats or more rolled oats
- 1 teaspoon chia seeds
- 1 pinch of salt
Instructions
- Mango: Slice the mango lengthwise along the pit. Scoop out the flesh from both halves and set it aside for blending. Cut off any remaining flesh from around the pit, dice it into small pieces, and save it for topping your oats later.
Blend: Add the mango flesh, plant-based milk, lime juice, and vanilla extract to a blender. Place a fine-mesh sieve over the blender jug, then scoop the passion fruit pulp into the sieve. Use a spoon to press the juice through while leaving the seeds behind. Discard the seeds, then blend everything until smooth and creamy.
Dry ingredients: Add the rolled oats, quick-cooking oats (if using), chia seeds, and salt to individual jars.
Combine: Divide the mango mixture evenly over the jars with dry ingredients. Stir each jar well to make sure everything is fully combined and no oats or chia seeds are stuck at the bottom.
Meal prep: Top with the reserved mango pieces. Seal the jars with lids and place them in the fridge overnight. These will keep well in the fridge for up to 4 days.
